Gambling online is now a felony in WA

If you live in Washington State and continue to gamble online, you are now a felon thanks to a new law that went into effect June 7. The bill is S.S.B. No. 6613 and it specifically states that gambling over the Internet is a criminal offense and a Class C felony. Washington is the only state to have laws that prohibit online gambling.

Online gambling is illegal under Federal law and has been since 1997 when the “Internet Gambling Prohibition Act of 1997″ was passed.
