eBay to Become More Complicated

If you have been using the Internet for as long as I have, you probably remember the day when eBay was a bit easier to use. Now setting up a simple auction requires a lawyer (exaggeration), there are so many hidden prices and things you can do wrong - and setting up an auction takes a full thirty minutes. The interface is also quite poor. More often than not, I’m totally lost on that site.

Anyways (enough rambling), eBay is planning to add many more features to their already cluttered interface. Blogs, Wikis, and more interactive stuff will be coming soon to an eBay near you. eBay tells us that the blogs are for helping the sellers connect with the buyers and create some legitimacy. The wikis will be user editable resources about products - look at Wikipedia.org to see what a wiki is.

A word to eBay. Want more people to join? Make it simple! More features are not what we want, we want an easy to navigate site that connects us with sellers that have the products we want - right quick!
