Hotels.com Customer Data Stolen!
If you have used Hotels.com in the past, you may want to keep an even closer eye on your credit reports and credit card statements. Why? A laptop with the names, addresses, and credit card numbers for 243,000 customers has been stolen. The records are mostly for transactions during 2004, but some customers that made purchases during 2002 and 2003 may also be at risk. If you have received or receive a letter from hotels.com telling you that your privacy has been compromised, pay even closer attention.
