Microsoft and the WMF exploit

It does not look like we will be seeing any fix out of Microsoft until their periodic release cycle on January 9th. Until then you can unregister the shimgvw.dll and update your virus scanning software.

Don’t go to untrusted sites right now, especially sites dealing in more grayarea content (MP3s, file downloads, etc). Stay to the trusted sites until this fog clears.
