Did you go to uninstall it, but couldn't find an uninstall entry in Add/Remove Programs? Read on to find out how to uninstall it.

1. Go to your Start Menu and click Run. Type in RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection java.inf,UnInstall and then click OK.

2. Click Yes to remove the program.

3. Reboot your computer.

4. Remove the following directories and files (if you have installed Windows in a different location, go to the appropriate location).

C:\Windows\system32\jview.exe
C:\Windows\system32\wjview.exe
C:\Windows\java
C:\Windows\inf\java.pnf

5. Now you will need to edit your registry. Go to your Start Menu and click Run. Type in regedit and click OK.

6. Browse your registry and find the following two keys and delete them. Remember to backup your registry first before editing it.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Java VM
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AdvancedOptions\JAVA_VM

7. Microsoft Java Virtual Machine should now be removed from your computer.
