Have you installed a new CD-ROM drive, hard drive, or some other type of disk drive, only to find out that your D drive is now drive E? Well, lucky for you, it's easy to remedy this.
1. Right Click on My Computer, and then click Manage
2. Choose the Disk Management branch under the Storage tree as shown below.
3. Right Click on the the drive you wish to change and choose Change Drive Letter and Paths.
4. Click Change, and then Assign the following drive letter. Choose the new Drive letter you want to use and then click OK
NOTE: This adjustment may render your computer unbootable in some extreme cases. Your boot drive will not be able to be changed in this manner. Use this tip at your own risk.
